Weather jobs for non-meteorologists

Postby sau27 » Wed May 15, 2013 2:07 pm

Hi all, I have been a member of this board for 5 or 6 years and love to read it although I rarely post. As a self proclaimed weather "nerd" I have always wanted to be able to work in a field that involves meteorology. The problem with meeting this desire is that I do not have a meteorology degree. Instead I went to law school and just graduated about a year ago. Since then I have been looking on and off for jobs that may make use of my education and background while at the same time being involved in meteorology. As I'm sure you all can guess that is not a very easy combination to find.
I thought I would pose the issue here to see if anyone could offer any feedback on what opportunities there are in a weather-related field that do not require a meteorology degree.
I appreciate any thoughts anyone may have.

Stephen
