Re: December 2017: Pattern Change/Much Colder Weather Possib

I hate to Grinch it up, but it's just going to be very cold rain with possible slick spots on stop signs and street signs. Nothing to get excited about. The main problem for north of Hempstead will be the opposite - cold, dry air. Palestine has snow falling, but it's verga - never reaching the grou...

Re: December 2017: Pattern Change/Much Colder Weather Possib

Looking at model data it looks like between 04z-6z will be prime time for snow as the additional shortwave rotates through and moisture spreads further north. Interesting to see how far north precip has spread. All the way up to the DFW area.

Re: August 2017: Tracking Harvey/Catastrophic Flooding/Torna

Looks like moderate rainfall rates have returned over a lot of Harris County. Another flash flood warning has been issued. Unfortunately, Harvey looks like it has temporarily stalled/slowed down along the coastline.

Re: August 2017: Tracking Harvey/Catastrophic Flooding/Torna

There isn't a lot of rain by the center of circulation. There's been no wrap around for over 12 hours.
