The low continues to move westward, just slowly. Expect another 3-5 inches to be possible, higher in some isolated spots. Just have to radar watch for the next couple hours as models are completely out to lunch right now. I do expect clearing to occur later this afternoon.

Pretty much all the latest mesoscale models indicate these storms to the east/northeast will dissipate over the next couple hours but redevelopment could occur during the overnight hours/early morning. Looking at radar that hasn't happened yet so may be good news, especially for those east of I-10. ...

I'm hoping/thinking that by late afternoon there will be enough of a break for a little bit of outdoor activities and even some fireworks at night. Hard to say with complete certainty though because any mesoscale features that setup could wreck havoc on that forecast.
