It seems to me that the national weather service is going to have to issue some winter weather advisories tonight, at least i would think so.

I'm starting to get more excited about the possibility of snow! lol, it seems like the times that snow verifies here are usually when the models don't sniff it out until the "last minute" like this event. And when the models predict snow for us in the long range is usually when it doesn't ...

Yes! 12z Euro looks interesting... it shows temps in the mid to upper 30s Friday morning with snow/sleet even in metro Houston fwiw Im also starting to think that by tomorrow afternoon there could be some sleet mixing in with the rain as 850 mb temps are shown by several models to be below freezing.

Hmm very interesting, i wonder if the Texas Tech WRF and GFS are going to end up verifying on a more westward landfall? They both have been consistent on Harvey making landfall around the Galveston Bay area...

The NAM including the Texas Tech WRF has been consistently depicting this scenario the last few runs, it looks like it was on to something.
