That pesky MCV continues to fire off showers and storms early this morning with some locations in Brazoria County receiving 7 inches of rainfall. Noticing a bit of agitation at several levels via GOES 16 Visible imagery suggesting the MCV located near Beeville moving ENE may fire off a round of storms near the Victoria Crossroads later this morning and possibly extend East in the afternoon hours with some daytime heating.

Easter Sunday marks the 70th Anniversary of one of the worst Industrial Accidents we have ever seen here in SE Texas. My Mom and Grandmother lost friends in the Texas City Disaster and I am sure that others on this Board can share experiences of their families on that fateful day, April 16, 1947.

It appears the cold pool across the Brazos Valley into E Texas that is firing storms is getting strong enough to push an outflow boundary SE.
