Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Warning Issued

They nudged the track further e which will diminish the potential for heavy rains towards Houston.

Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Warning Issued

Modeling hinted at another round of this jerky like movement. Still looks on track as it sorta compensates for the eastern movement yesterday. Though it almost looks like it's moving more w and trying to finally build some canopy on the western flank.

Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Warning Issued

It got bumped back that much? Thought we were talking Wednesday night. Should be approaching the upper Texas coast/ sw Louisiana late tomorrow/evening, and then making landfall sometime Thursday morning and possibly into the day/evening Thursday if there were any more erratic movements. As on now i...

24 hours out (maybe) is too early to tell?

Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Watch/Warning Issued

I wonder why they didn't extend the watches down to the Freeport area or somewhere near there.. Even with the expansion of the wind field it's still extremely limited on the western part of Cindy. Combine that with the orientation of the coast and trajectory of the track, there will be a sharp grad...

Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Watch/Warning Issued

That's a healthy 'loop' to the se. The gfs had been showing some jerky movements today.

Thought with the expansion of the windfield and a possible slight westward adjustment on track that warnings could be extended to Galveston and a watch down to Freeport. Latest movement might delay that till 10.

Re: June 2017: TS Cindy/Tropical Storm Watch/Warning Issued

I know it's nitpicking....

But the map just posted would be 18z guidance based on 12z model runs, and it seems a little early for even that to be updated.
