Re: July 2017 - Isolated Rain/Storm Chances

It hasn't stopped raining at my house just south of Lake Conroe Dam since 6:30 last night according to my Ol Man who lives 100 yards from me. Wow! Radar is lit up right over my house right now. I'm in Georgia and won't be home till Friday. I'm sure I will come home to a tropical rain forest.

Re: April 2017 - Weekend Heavy Rainfall/Storms Possible

I'm glad to see this was a hyped up event. My garden took a beating the past 2 years and didn't need that again.

Re: February 2017-Warm Weather Early Week/Turning Seasonal

Weeds are sprouting, birds are chirping, jasmine is in full bloom and no decent cold air in sight. Folks, Spring has definitely sprung. I will be wearing flip flops and shorts into the office today. Winter is GONE.

Re: January 2017 - Major Wind Event Sunday Behind Pacific Fr

Thanks for the info Unome but I was asking about Southeast, Texas. I didn't know if anything was able to "spark up" in our area. Not sure how. Even with the wind, all the dead vegetation is still water logged as is the ground.

Re: January 2017 - Major Wind Event Sunday Behind Pacific Fr

I'm more interested in the high wind event on Sunday. If what is being forecasted pans out, then I would compare this type of wind to a low to moderate tropical storm (without the rain). Looks like sustained winds across Southeast, Texas around 35mph (give or take) with continuous gusts up to 50, po...

Re: January 2017 - Major Wind Event Sunday Behind Pacific Fr

Well folks, the time has gone once again for any wintry type weather down here in Southeast Texas. Just as per the norm, I had a couple sleet pellets fall and actually saw a couple of stray small snow flurries back during that last artic front. Man I had to strain my eyes to see those. lol Just your...

Problem is how humid the air is. I'm thinking the precip type there should stay as rain.

Just virga right now. Looks like the heavier radar returns are to the south of me in the Spring/Woodlands area.
